SCHWARZENEGGER VS. BLAIR
It's a shame that the Democrats can't nominate Blair for president. John Kerry is a lousy person, and John Edwards a bit too tender for the job. Blair could probably sweep Bush aside easily enough if he had the chance. Democrats, though not exactly fond of him for his being co-liberator of Iraq, would probably nominate him since his chances of beating Bush would be far better than any of the current candidates. Perhaps Blair wouldn't run now, but you have to wonder: perhaps in 2008? After all, he'll still be young, and we love him so much more than the British do! Also, one has the sense that he has unfulfilled ambitions, and there's no more "up" to go in Britain.
Meanwhile, the Republicans, too, could pick up a good candidate if the rule were revoked: Arnold Schwarzenegger. Schwarzenegger vs. Blair 2008: it would be a great race!
