THREE CHEERS FOR THE WHISTLEBLOWER!
the global warming scam
Bjorn Lomborg, in The Skeptical Environmentalist a few years ago, delivered a carefully argued and minutely justified, cautious-in-detail but cumulatively devastating, indictment of the environmental movement. He seems to have set a trend, which may be accelerating. Tech Central Station argues that "the denouement is imminent." I found the article heart-warming in more ways than one: among other things, it shows the wisdom of the US Senate, which threw out Kyoto 95-0. We could well have sabotaged our economy disastrously based on some very dubious "science" which probably has more to do with a quasi-theological opposition to economic growth by fans of pure nature than with science per se. Good job, Senate. Democracy works. Better than technocracy.
And let's thank our lucky stars that Al Gore, the American politician who thinks "Earth [is] in the balance," never made it to the White House. It's a bit scary to think how close we came to that.
A Good Samaritan World
For open borders, freedom from tyranny, solidarity with the world's less fortunate, and a humble but incorruptible devotion to truth.
